Luke Barratt, CEO

Luke has been with Xtract Solutions since its conception in 2004, working first as an engineer and now taking the helm as CEO. He oversees all development, both business and technical. You will usually find Luke pacing the office with his bluetooth headset or elbow deep in new ideas. Raised in the shop of his family’s business of building mobile generators for the motion picture industry, Luke’s interest in engineering began long before his formal education. He has experience in various industries, from transportation to electronics to system design.

Luke’s passion for the allergy field was born while he was designing and building automation platforms for the complex manipulation of allergen immunotherapy compounding. This grew into multiple FDA 510k authorizations for syringe-dosing accessories, mass vaccination kits, and miniature refrigeration design and commercialization. When he is not thinking about Xtract or tinkering in his garage, Luke is involved with his very active family: his wife, son and two daughters. They love exploring the amazing Pacific Northwest backcountry on foot, on skis, and in tents — all year long.
